The Filipinos love to cook and enjoy eating. Rice is their staple food. There are delicious delicacies you should try as you travel in all the regions in the Philippines, here are to name a few:

Adobo – Chicken or porked stewed in soy,vinegar and garlic. A must try!

Arroz Caldo – rice porridge with chicken and ginger.

RELLENONG Bangus, “stuffed milkfish” , Stuffed with sauted fish meat carrots,onions and raisins. Then roasted.

Caldereta - a delicious beef or goat stew. Cooked in tomato sauce, bell peppers carrots and slightly spicy.

Lechon – roasted whole pig. A must in all Filipino fiestas or big celebration.

Lumpia Shanghai, Shanghai: a small spring roll filled with vegetable and meat will be deep fried. The lumpia will be served with soy sauce and chili sauce.

Nilaga, soup with potatoes, cabbage and beef meat.

Pancit Canton – egg noodles stir fried with chicken, pork shrimps and vegetables.

Sinigang is a Sour tasty soup. Different kind of meat and vegetables are inside.

Halo-Halo, the Filipinos love this Dessert. It is crushed ice with sweets, fruits and condensed milk. The meaning of Halo halo is mixed together.

Fruits: it gives in many colors and kind`s some of them have realy good taste also some of them smell bad. But please try: Mangos, Pineapple, Lacatan bananas, Chico, Durian, Langka, Calamanci, Atis, Rambutan, Makopa…..
 

Drinks

Non Alcoholic Drinks
Are mostly in bottles, cans or tetra-pak`s. The maindrink in the Philippines is cold Water, but coke, royal and 7up will let forgot it. In many destinations u will find “Purified Water Stations” were you can get good quality Water.
Please try the “Batangas” coffee also called “Barako” that is a strong brewed coffee made in the Philippines.

Alcoholic Drinks
“Basi” is a distilled sugar cane juice, ice-cold and sweet it taste like Sherry. “Tuba” is an Palm wine. The Coconut palm produce at first an juice. After a wile it comes to an alcohol drink.
The biggest Beer brand in the Philippines is the “San Miguel” but it owns the Spanish-Philippines family named Sarano.
