Transfer
A resort representative will meet you at the airport and take you to Toledo,Cebu in an air-conditioned vehicle. From there, you will board the ferry to San Carlos port. Once in San Carlos, guests will board the Whispering Palms’ banca (motorized outrigger boat) to Sipaway Island.

Check In/Check Out
We have flexible check-in and check-out time for previously booked rooms.

Generator/Electricity
Electricity will be provided the whole day, however, the aicondition in the guestroom will only work from 6:00pm to 6:00am.

Form Of Payment
 We do not accept credit cards. All your payments may be made with Euros, Dollars, or Pesos.

Water
Sipaway has no phreatic water, therefore the rain water will collect in underground tons. Because of this it is possible to have water shortage during the summer months and we kindly ask you to save water during this time.

Boat Trip
The resort has 4 Bancas, most of the time 2 of them are available for the diving base. Boats go regularly to San Carlos, these boat trips  are free of charge for our guests. Of course you can also rent a boat at a specific date. Above all you have the possibilities to use public boats.

Cuisine
We always try to use fresh food, therefor it can happen that preparation time takes a bit, but after it you can looking forward to have fresh philippines and international dishes. Additionally we offer regulary barbecue and theme nights.

Kindergarten / School Project
One thing which is important for us. Like everywhere worldwide children will ask you for money, but of course this money will not spended well. Because of this we are helping regulary our local kindergarten and school with materials, new cooker for the school kitchen or a small party. We set up a cash box at the resort, that we can be sure the money will benefit the kids 100%.

Our History
The history of Whispering Palms Island Resort at Sipaway starts in 1980 with an “Around the World Ticket”which also leads after a lot of stops to the Philipines. And where love goes you willingly stay there.“Whispering palms” on a spaciously territory, saggreen grass, wonderful blue sea in front and we found our dream land. One privathouse was built up, like later one house for lots of friends. End of the 90´ies the then major and present congressman Carmona had an idea: he wants to make the region more attractive for tourists and wants to provide new jobs by building up a resort. By this moment we already decide to spend our retirement in this area.

Next step was creating an infrastructure, recovering and planing of authorization. During that time giganticly watertanks were smashed into coral rocks, 4km under sea  level. During starting time electricity was produced by solar, roads were built and a new wharf, 200m long, were built up by hand. Each was a giganticly project which costs a lot of money as well as time. In year 2001 the first hotel building was established, in 2004 the first local guests visiting our hotel and end of 2005 the first european tourists came as guests.

The affiliate diving station, also under german management opened end of 2005. In the meantime the Whispering Palm Island Resort offers european standard, a cuisine with philippine and international viands, a lot of room to find recreation from every days life and the chance to recover the underwater world of Tanonstreet. And the palms still whispering.
